UniVote

UniVote is our annual civic engagement initiative to get out the vote (GOTV) in the Pilipino American community.  Historically, Asian Americans have had lower rates of voter registration and voter turnout compared to other ethnic groups. Case in point: the 2013 Asian American vote for the Mayor of New York City was not disaggregated.

Since 2012, through educational workshops with student organizations, door knocking, phone banking and tabling at community events we have registered approximately hundreds of Pilipino American voters and have accumulated approximately hundreds of pledges to vote. In partnership with APA Voice, a multi-organizational Asian American coalition, we continue to GOTV each year.
