Pilipino American Unity for Progress (UniPro) and the Philippine Consulate General in New York invite you to participate in New York Metropolitan Area's Fifth Annual

Philippine Graduation Ceremony

Tuesday June 20th, 2017, 6-9pm
Kalayaan Hall of the Philippine Center
556 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY

The event is open to all Filipino-American academic candidates who have successfully completed coursework in an undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral field this year.

The Philippine Graduation Ceremony (known as P-Grad) has been a tradition for many years in colleges and universities along the West Coast with high Filipino American student populations. At these ceremonies, community leaders commend the achievements made by graduating students of Filipino descent, and send them off to the next stage of their careers with words of encouragement.

We continue this tradition in order to celebrate the students in the Greater New York/New Jersey region. Remarks will be given by the Consul General, the Honorable Tess Dizon-De Vega and leaders of the local Filipino community, followed by a presentation of the graduating students.

Space will be reserved for the first 50 applicants who are undergrad, graduate or doctorate students, graduating in the academic school year of 2016 - 2017 within the Greater New York/New Jersey region. We welcome two guests per applicant to attend the event at no cost. Graduates will be asked to attend dressed in their school's academic regalia.

The registration fee is $20.00. This will cover the cost of your commemorative Philippine graduation token and diploma, which will be printed in Filipino. Only the graduating student needs to register. His or her guests (up to 2) are invited to attend at no cost. Once your registration has been confirmed, you will be notified with further instructions.
