The event is open to all Filipino-American academic candidates who have successfully completed coursework in an undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral field this year.

The Philippine Graduation Ceremony (known as P-Grad) has been a tradition for many years in colleges and universities along the West and East Coasts with high Filipino American student populations. At these ceremonies, community leaders commend the achievements made by graduating students of Filipino descent, and send them off to the next stage of their careers with words of encouragement.

We continue this tradition in order to celebrate the students in the Chicago region. Remarks will be given by the Consul General, the Honorable Gina A. Jamoralin and leaders of the local Filipino community, followed by a presentation of the graduating students.

Space will be reserved for the first 10 applicants who are undergrad, graduate or doctorate students, graduating in the academic school year of 2017 - 2018 within the Chicago and Midwest region. We welcome one guest per applicant to attend the event at no cost. Graduates will be asked to attend dressed in their school's academic regalia.

The registration fee is waived, but registration is mandatory for attendance. Only the graduating student needs to register. The student's guests (up to 1) are invited to attend at no cost. Once your registration has been confirmed, you will be notified with further instructions.
