As the school year closes, graduation season is upon us. Pilipino American Unity for Progress (UniPro) is partnering with the Philippine Consulate General in New York and Chicago to host Philippine Graduation Ceremonies (also known as P-Grad) for Filipino graduates in the communities.
In New York, 2018 is the 6th consecutive year that the ceremony is being held. As the event has grown in both popularity and recognition, it has become a staple event during the summer for the Filipino community in New York. Learn more about New York's Philippine Graduation Ceremony 2018 on June 9.
Due to the success of the event in New York, UniPro's Chicago chapter is holding the inaugural Philippine Graduation Ceremony for the Chicago area on June 19, 2018.
“We’re really excited to finally bring the P-Grad tradition to the Midwest, and recognize the energy and hustle that the students here have; energy we hope will continue in their post-grad endeavors,” said Chicago chapter Founder, and current Board of Directors Member, Ryne Dionisio.
The Philippine Graduation Ceremony is an opportunity to celebrate the academic achievements of Filipino students, as well as to welcome them into the community of Filipino graduates.
